The Next Secretary of Education

As America prepares to transition into a new presidency, we must keep our eyes on the next leader of the U.S. Department of Education. This is a critical role in implementing national policies and educational reform agendas, which support or erode our mission towards educational equity.

The Alpha Community Education Initiative has joined with other Black and Latino education, civil rights, faith and panhellenic organizations to prepare and communicate a set of recommendations for consideration of the office of next U.S. Secretary of Education to President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris.
